Christian music mainstay  group Smalltown Poets’ musical journey continues as the band released its new single, 'Love Is the Ocean,' last week. Today, they are premiering the music video for 'Love Is the Ocean' exclusively with CCMmagazine.com.

CCMmagazine.com is partnering with the Smalltown Poets and Mark Lee to present The Southern Christmas Tour. Both groups have previously released full-length Christmas music albums and singles over the last several years as well as decades worth of hit songs to draw from. You don't want to miss this show.

Atlanta-based Christian music band Smalltown Poets recently holed up in a Portland Oregon basement, on a rainy day, to write together. Encouraged by the fruits of their efforts, they continued into the next few days, hammering away at song ideas that took them into uncharted waters, in terms of content, stylings and, at times, even genres. The result was the bands new single “Try”...and it's 4 different remixed versions. "Try" is the first glimpse into the results of those writing sessions, and points to the ongoing evolution of the multi-Grammy nominated band. The song was born of a strange experience for one of the Poets.

Smalltown Poets & The Choir are celebrating Christmas together this year in Nashville and Atlanta. The groups will play two shows together in Nashville on December 7 and 8th (with limited seating) and in Atlanta on December 9th. Both bands will be performing Christmas songs at each show!

There are now two distinct periods during the Smalltown Poets tenure: before and after their several year hiatus that ended in 2010. Two common threads are woven throughout both: the family vibe within the band and the unmistakable Smalltown poets sound.

Smalltown Poets stopped by the CCM Magazine offices and performed four songs for us! Here's the second of those acoustic tracks.
