“Silver Bells,” featuring the dynamic trio made up of multi-platinum GRAMMY® winners Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, along with Marc Martel, has taken the No. 1 spot at national Christian radio this week. The re-imagined version of the 1951 Christmas music classic climbed to the top of Billboard’s Monitored AC and Mediabase AC Christian charts.

Due to overwhelming demand, Awakening Events has announced the spring extension of the Michael W. Smith 35 Years of Friends Tour. The 17-city spring tour comes on the heels of a widely popular fall run that celebrated 14 sold out dates.

Power vocalist Marc Martel releases his new album of Christmas favorites titled The Christmas Collection, featuring an All-Star cast of collaborators from Amy Grant to Michael W. Smith, Jason Gray, Buddy Greene, Plumb, Scott Mulvahill, and Ron Block (of Alison Krauss & Union Station). His new single from the album, “Silver Bells,” is a fresh new take on the classic song with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.

Ginny Owens celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her first record, Without Condition, with a special video series that takes a look back at the impact the album has made. There will be interviews with other Christian music artists like Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp, Ellie Holcomb and others, as well as Michael Puryear (Ginny's publisher), Monroe Jones (Ginny'sproducer) and Don Donahue (Ginny's label President) and Ginny is showcased playing some new arrangements of the songs from Without Condition.

The Gospel Music Association celebrated the 50th Annual Dove Awards with a sold out crowd in Nashville, TN. The special evening shined a light on Christian music and Gospel music's rich and diverse history and showcased the future of exceptional artistry.

Amy Grant is releasing her incredibly popular Christmas projects in a limited edition vinyl box set (due out October 11). The one-of-a-kind set will feature the over 3x platinum Home for Christmas as well as two other classic Grant Christmas projects, A Christmas Album and A Christmas to Remember.

The Gospel Music Association announced another round of all-star performances for the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards including nominated artists MercyMe, Lecrae and a collaborative worship moment with Phil Wickham, Brian Johnson and the Bethel Music Band. Christian and Gospel legends Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Cece Winans and Steven Curtis Chapman will join together for a special icon performance.

The Nashville Metropolitan Historical Commission, in association with the Nashville Metro Council, recently celebrated the installation of a historical marker at 1000 16th Avenue South with an unveiling ceremony, honoring decades of the music impact of Belmont Church, Koinonia Coffeehouse and the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) genre on the city of Nashville.
