As we turn the corner this wintry season, we often take time to reflect upon the last 12 months while we make decisions about the year ahead. As you think about the sort of hopes you have for 2019, we thought we’d ask some of our favorite artists for inspiration by giving us their own resolutions.

However, his career has taken him from backing Kirk Franklin as part of The Family to starring in his own hit television show like It’s a Mann’s World.

From personal declarations of hope and strength to new congregational classics for worship, the last 12 months yielded numerous songs that will remain in our hearts and playlists for quite some time. This year we polled our staff and writers at CCM for their opinions on the year’s top songs. Here’s how the list shook out after compiling the results.

We polled our staff writers at CCM for their favorite albums in an attempt to generate a master list. While there was great variety among our staff, it was clear that a few albums made their way into the heads and hearts of everyone across the board.

If you’ve not yet traveled in the swampy stomp of Crowder’s newest album, just know it’s inhabited—just like the title might suggest. I Know A Ghost is haunted by a dynamic fusion of gospel, hip-hop and tradition roots music—all genres rooted in the deep South.
