Phil Wickham’s musical roots as a worship leader come through beautifully on his newest release, an acoustic version of his spring favorite, Children Of God (buy). These acoustic sessions strip away the sonic layers to reveal Wickham’s yearning heart to know God more. All twelve songs from the original release are found here, along with three new songs. “At The Foot Of The Cross” is the most compelling of the new bunch, but all three fit in nicely in this relaxed, reflective set. If anything, many fans might like this musical set better than the original for their ability to cut to the core of each track.
