Anchor EP  (Independent)
by  John Tibbs

FOR FANS OF: Gungor, Mumford & Sons
Rating: 4 Stars

It’s astounding that a label hasn’t swept up the bright young star in the worship universe known as John Tibbs. From his debut LP, Swallowing… Life, to his brandnew EP, Anchor, Tibbs is an original and compelling folk-rock voice in a genre that needs one. “Anchor” is a stomp-along folk romp, but Tibbs’ rock vibe is his sweet spot. “Heaven Come Down” and “Abraham” are true gems here.
