In an Instagram post following the event, Newsboys’ drummer Duncan Phillips said, “Thanks again Kingdom Bound and Darien Lake for a show we’ll remember for a while! The weather was perfect with an amazingly engaged crowd! I hope we play #kingdombound for years to come! Much love.”

In addition to this special reunion between Furler and Newsboys, Kingdom Bound also featured multiple other artist collaborations. Mac Powell of Third Day joined Peter Furler for the hit song “Shine,” and 2017 GRAMMY-nominee Zach Williams joining Powell for a special rendition of the southern rock song “Midnight Rider.”
