GRAMMY® nominee and Best New Artist Dove Award winner Jamie Grace launches her sophomore effort, Ready To Fly, to major critical praise today. The 22-year-old Georgia native’s career lifted off only a few short years ago after her discovery by TobyMac and her hit single “Hold Me (feat. TobyMac)” garnered GRAMMY® and Dove Award nods. Jamie teamed up with producers Christopher Stevens (TobyMac), Chuck Butler (Royal Tailor), David Garcia (Britt Nicole) and Dave Wyatt (TobyMac’s DiverseCity Band) to piece together the 13-track album devoted to a more mature and yet sunny and effervescent place of life that she resides. The album is available today at Target, Family Christian, iTunes and Amazon: gotee.com/readytofly.

Jamie shares on Ready To Fly: “I have a deeper relationship with the Lord now, and I talk to Him about even more stuff than I did when I was younger. It’s cool to get to share a little bit more of my diary pages, but I am also excited because there are a lot of songs on this record still that are giddy and show my quirky personality.”

The exuberant and infectious charm of Jamie Grace has caught the eye of several media outlets who are already declaring their praise for Ready To Fly. Earlier this month, Jamie premiered the title track from her album, “Ready To Fly (Avery’s Song)” on USAToday.com. This Thursday, January 30 at 9:30 AM ET, Jamie Grace will appear on 700 Club Interactive’s show on ABC Family, performing tracks from the album and sharing more of her story. This mid-February, Jamie will also grace the cover of CCM Magazine.

Here’s a sampling of the praise Ready To Fly is garnering:

“Jamie Grace’s transparent storytelling, wrapped in genius songwriting and pop steady beats, woos you to get on board and ‘take flight’ as she delivers songs with inspiring insights on love, overcoming, self-acceptance and living a full life.”
-CBN.com

“Ready To Fly is a self-portrait of sorts, impeccably highlighting just how much Jamie Grace has grown in the two and a half years since her debut, both as an artist (her vocals have grown notably stronger) and as a songwriter. While her lyrics still sound youthful and maybe even a tad girlish at times, it’s hard not to notice many of the more matured themes being touched on here, namely in songs like ‘The Waiting’ and ‘Fighter.'”

“If you’re new to Jamie’s music, I assure you that your curiosity will not go unrewarded…Delving into the topics of worship, waiting, and a warrior-like stamina to fight through tough times, Jamie delivers her signature acoustic sound while bringing us some new flavors along the way.”
-Christian Music Review

“Ready To Fly is one of my favorite albums of the year… Jamie has achieved a level as a recording artist and song writer at 22 that most never even come close to.”
-Surrender Magazine

“Ready To Fly deals with life and relationship and how God fits into it all. There are some lovely moments on this album and after listening to this I couldn’t stop smiling. It’s the music, it’s so infectious.”
-Louder Than The Music

“Highlighting the unique tone and texture to her voice and her beautiful heart, Jamie’s sophomore album hits all of the right notes. As we’ve come to expect from the young songstress, there is no comfortable little style box her music fits in. She combines elements of pop, country, R&B, and rock effortlessly.”
-Music Times

“Grace is growing into the singer-songwriter she’s meant to be and the personal material on Ready To Fly is a true testament to that.”
-The Front Row Report

Jamie’s lead single “Beautiful Day” has also shown its propensity to “fly,” skyrocketing to 100,000 units sold and holding the No. 1 spot on the Hot AC/CHR chart for two straight weeks soon after its release. Jamie released a lyric video last fall for “Beautiful Day” that combines her performance of the song with animated hand drawn lyrics and imagery here: http://smarturl.it/JGBeautifulDay.

About Gotee Records:
In 1992 a production team of three talented guys with diverse tastes shared a love for music. Producers Joey Elwood and Todd Collins, along with Grammy-winning artist TobyMac, launched Gotee Records in 1994 after unsuccessfully finding a label deal for the R&B trio Out of Eden. With a steady focus on artistry, the new label expanded to reflect the diverse interests of its founders. Within 12 months, Christafari, GRITS, and Johnny Q. Public were signed, easily representing four different music categories: R&B, reggae, rap and rock. In the 20 years since Gotee’s founding as a record label, it has launched the careers of Relient K, Jennifer Knapp, Sonicflood and more recently, Jamie Grace, Capital Kings, Finding Favour and Ryan Stevenson. The present day in the Gotee story is much like the label’s early days. Through all the changes in a tumultuous music industry, the boutique label’s independent spirit is maintained through a steady focus on artist development and diversity.
