Q: Where do you draw your songwriting inspiration from? What is your typical songwriting process?

Our typical songwriting process starts with a theme or a scripture that we feel God is leading us to, which we then try to develop by asking ourselves how it would feel to sing that theme or idea. From there we usually try to find our melodies first, and then we work hardest on the lyrics until we feel the song communicates what we want it to, and that it leads us to a place of faith. We don’t just want to sing comfortable songs.

Inspiration wise, we find inspiration in the music we listen to, but mainly our personal faith journeys, and the journeys of the people we do life with.

Q: Ok, now for the not so band related questions. Is there any shameless nerdy things you do that no one or maybe everyone knows about?

We all love STAR WARS.

Q: What is your favorite Bible verse at the moment and why?

As a team we’ve been loving the verse in Exodus 14 that says “The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

We love this verse, because it refers to the Israelites freaking out a bit, which we can really relate to – in terms of stepping out into something new, but then panicking and wanting to return to the former. This verse assures us that God’s in control, and that we should stay calm, and trust in Him.

Q: Anything you would like share, from new merchandise to upcoming shows/tours or songs/albums?

We would love people to listen to our new EP “CLRS”. It’s all about how Jesus came so we may have life, and life abundantly. It’s a joyful sound, that celebrates life with God.
