“The Father’s House,” the rousing, gospel-fueled new single from GRAMMY®-nominated Bethel Music singer/songwriter Cory Asbury, is now available. Produced by Ed Cash and penned by Asbury, Ethan Hulse and Hillsong UNITED’s Ben Hastings, the song is already making an impact at radio, landing at #31 on the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart this week.

A welcoming invitation to “lay your burdens down here in the Father’s house,” the single is Asbury’s first new music following a year-long sabbatical in the wake of his 2018 genre-defying megahit, “Reckless Love.”

“When you come into the Father’s house, you’re realigned to His confidence,” Asbury says of the new track’s inspiration. “There’s no anxiety in Him. There’s no fear of the future. There’s no shame or insecurity. So when we come into His house, we’re actually aligned to His heartbeat and the healing Truth of who He is. He’s not after our perfection. He’s not after our performance. He’s not after the outward expression of godliness or holiness. He’s not after our Sunday best. He’s after what’s really in our hearts.”

“The Father’s House” is the lead single from Asbury’s Bethel Music sophomore set, due later this year. Although he penned several songs for the new project during his sabbatical, Asbury’s time at home provided a much-needed reset. “It’s been a year of realizing I don’t have to prove anything,” he says. “It’s been a year of complete reliance on God. I had to learn to be OK with not having a stage or being on a pedestal or people thinking I’m awesome; but being cool with being completely dependent on the Father for everything.”

Reemerging earlier this month with a brand-new recording of “Reckless Love” featuring GRAMMY®-winning pop superstar Tori Kelly, Asbury also recently released the devotional book Reckless Love: A 40-Day Journey Into the Overwhelming, Never-Ending Love of God (Charisma House).
