Brandon Lake Releases Title Track From Upcoming Album ‘Coat Of Many Colors’

Five-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Brandon Lake has released “COAT OF MANY COLORS,” the title track from his upcoming third studio solo album set for release on October 20. Penned by Lake with Jonathan Smith, Steven Furtick, Jacob Boyles, Andrew Cherry and Leeland Mooring, the new song teases the many “colors” of worship and styles showcased on the full record. The album cover features Lake dawned in his very own coat of many colors inspired by taking “rags” and turning them into “riches” and designed by Greg Lauren, the nephew of the legendary Ralph Lauren. Additionally, the accompanying music video, directed by Noah Taher, is out now.

“In many ways, we are all wrapped in a coat of many colors – we are clothed in the Father’s love and in his pride for us, and everyone one of us are his favorite,” Lake explains. “We see in the story of Joseph’s life that he was misunderstood, he had dreams that got him in trouble, and he had to go through the process of trusting his dreams and being faithful to God. Joseph went from a pit to a palace, and this album explores that theme heavily.”

Dubbed “one of the most sought-after artists in the Christian genre” by MusicRow Magazine, the first release off of the new album, “Praise You Anywhere,” broke streaming records on Amazon Music. The single’s first-day streams exceeded any other Christian artist ever on Amazon Music globally. It was also featured on the cover of Amazon’s Worship Now playlist and had the #1 track in that list.

Last week, Lake wrapped up his 16 city arena tour with Phil Wickham, in which multiple shows were sold out. He is gearing up to hit the road later this month on Lauren Daigle’s The Kaleidoscope Tour followed by his headlining Coat Of Many Colors Tour.
