CCM: Once you get past the five-year mark, it’s basically a decade, right?
NCM: It’s the year of completion. It’s seven, you know? [Laughs]

CCM: Oh. [Laughs] So with that many years between studio records, do you feel like these songs are a continuation of Nicole C. or a new chapter?
NCM: It’s a new chapter. It’s like never before—no pun intended. OK, maybe there was.

CCM: It is the record title.
NCM: It’s a new season—not just a new chapter, but the beginning of a new book, and I’m so excited about the pages that are being written. The album is a declaration of what has happened and what is to come.

CCM: You have experienced a lot in your personal life over the past few years. Some good. Some hard. It seems one of the most significant things you have learned through it all is how to forgive. Culturally speaking, a lot of our challenges in our relationships with one another—with our neighbors, within our communities, within our churches …
