Hope Dealer 2  (Dedicated Music Group)
by Mr. Del

FOR FANS OF: Canton Jones, Pettidee
Rating: 3 Stars

Seven years have passed since Mr. Del released Hope Dealer. After fifteen years, Mr. Del remains loyal to his Southern hip-hop roots, which means Hope Dealer 2, his fourteenth album, is steeped in big beats, chunky bass and a thick delivery. Appearances from Pettidee, Canton Jones, and Gospel Gangstas help the mix bloom a bit, since things run a bit long at fourteen tracks. Still HD2 is a solid jam, all the same.
