With slick beats and faith-forward songwriting, LOVECOLLIDE is ready to let the world know they’re Tired Of Basic (buy). Sisters Lauren Budnick and Brooke DeLeary have been performing together since their tweens, but their latest record is pop all grown up. Producers Riley Friesen and Matt Dally give the songs a shiny gloss that could hold its own against the hottest Top-40 sounds, especially with the sparkling synths on “Undeniable,” the smooth groove of “Wildfire,” and the big party vibe of “I Believe In Loud.” But listen beyond the beats and you’ll hear songs born from struggle. Lauren and Brooke take an honest look at a recent season of uncertainty and darkness and turn it into songs about surrendering dreams to God, heartbreak, dedication, and ultimately, celebrating new life in Christ. Sure, you could say LOVECOLLIDE is the perfect gift for the tween or teen girl in your life—songs to encourage and empower her faith wrapped up in a sound she loves. But no matter who you are, this is a pop confection you can dance along with. We all get a little tired of basic sometimes.
