Jon Guerra: ‘Little Songs’ album review

Jon Guerra, who boasts an impressive resume and has written with acts like Vertical Church Band, now roars with his very distinctive vocal (think Chris August with a hint of Ed Sheeran croon) on Little Songs. The introspective collection is faith-based, but also insightful with abstract ideas. “I Will Follow” showcases his soothing vocal and worshipful songwriting. “Stained Glass” features a seamless and memorable musical interlude. “Rolling, Rolling, Rolling” and “Speak” provide for a few nondescript and weary moments, but the overall intrigue is well worth the listen.
