Hillsong Worship – ‘There Is More’ album review

Hillsong is synonymous with congregational worship at this point, having written and released some of the most familiar songs in the modern catalog. There Is More (buy) is an apt title for Hillsong Worship’s latest, a nod to their ever-churning mill of inspirational new songs as well as the album’s prevailing theme of abundant life. “New Wine” is the pivotal track behind this theme, a musical prayer and offering of surrender and sacrifice. Other tracks should also find an instant home in contemporary churches around the globe, including the communion-centric “Remembrance” and the scripture song “The Lord’s Prayer.” Fans will also love a new version of Hillsong UNITED’s “So Will I (100 Billion X)” but it’s simply a nice surprise at the album’s end. There Is More is already plenty full of affecting new resources for the global church.
