Christy Nockels: ‘Let It Be Jesus’ album review

Christy Nockels is already familiar to many after years in the duo Watermark and as a prominent vocalist for the Passion Worship movement, but solo albums released over the last few years have yielded her best work yet. Both Life Light Up and Into the Glorious were powerful, personal releases that stand alongside the best releases of female vocalists in the last decade.

Let It Be Jesus, her latest, is her first live offering, recorded at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Featuring familiar tracks like “Let It Be Jesus” as well as several originals like the wonderful opener “Freedom Song,” Nockels’ latest is another must-have for church leaders and congregants alike.
