Chris Tomlin’s new album, Never Lose Sight (buy), lives up to its title, keeping the focus squarely on the person and work of Jesus in the life of the believer. Whether singing with Danny Gokey about the “Impossible Things” God is able to do or focusing on the good news on “Jesus,” Never Lose Sight keeps the listener focused on the core of the gospel. Obvious highlights are here like the opening hit “Good Good Father,” but make sure to tune into meaningful deeper cuts like “God And God Alone” and “First Love” with Kim Walker-Smith. Both songs are slower songs well suited for corporate worship gatherings and show there’s plenty to appreciate front to back on Tomlin’s latest.
