.rod laver | .rod laver was a rap-rock band that started in the late 90s and continued a successful run until 2005. Some of their most well known tracks include “The Kind That Count,” “Janet,” and “Song 10.”

The band was never satisfied with remaining on one sound, and continued to improve and change their unique blend of hip-hop and rock with each release. In 1999 they released The Essence Of The Game and shortly began tours with the likes of Pillar, Slick Shoes, and Ace Troubleshooter.

After three releases they signed to BEC Records for 2001’s In A Perfect World (buy) and in 2004 moved over to Uprok Records where they released their final album, The Dialogue: Rudolph Wayne vs. The Man (buy).

Not much else is known from the band who rocked as hard as they rapped, and a reunion seems unlikely.
