NASHVILLE, Tenn.
On the heels of celebrating its 10th year in faith-based music and entertainment, WieRok Entertainment announces the addition of Kevin Sparkman to its full-time staff as Director of Marketing and Operations.

Lance Wieland, CEO of WieRok Entertainment, says, “We’re excited to welcome Kevin to the team as he brings a host of experience and skills that immediately add value in helping us take our ministry and clients to the next level. With the addition of Kevin to our team of five, we anticipate that we’ll quickly scale up our roster capacity for many more developing and established artists.”

Sparkman comes to WieRok with diverse experience both in and out of music. Setting that stage, he moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University, graduating in 2002 with a degree in Commercial Music and Music Business. After cutting his teeth as an editorial assistant at CCM Magazine and then touring with both regional and national artists as a drummer, Sparkman returned from the road to serve in various roles in booking, management, label services, and digital distribution over the course of the next two decades.

In 2006, Sparkman helped launch Exit 3 Entertainment, a co-venture firm that focused on independent artist management and booking. In 2015, he returned to CCM Magazine as Managing Editor, establishing the legacy brand’s digital footprint. Most recently, Sparkman enjoyed his role as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Syntax Creative until making a transition in 2022.

“I am thankful for both Lance and Tammie Wieland’s vision for this new role,” Sparkman shares. “While recently stepping outside of the entertainment space provided valuable opportunities to sharpen skills and gain new perspectives, I am honored to begin serving in an environment where passions go way beyond just the music.”

Officially hitting the ground running with WieRok on March 4, Sparkman’s initial duties will encompass oversight and execution of digital marketing initiatives for its growing roster of artists; business and consumer-level communications management; creative direction; and inter-office/administrative direction and coordination, among other responsibilities.

Sparkman adds, “I’m thrilled to be joining the WieRok team! Their honest dedication to being a ministry-first organization truly sets them apart and fuels the fire for what I expect to be a fulfilling and exciting experience.
