Want to Open for KB? Camp Electric Is Giving You the Chance!

From the cover of CCM Magazine to the stage in Nashville, Christian hip-hop star KB is giving one aspiring artist the opportunity of a lifetime.

If you’ve been following CCM Magazine, you know we’re big fans of KB. Our recent cover artist delivered one of our most powerful Cover Story experiences, bringing his signature intensity, passion and faith to our studio for an unforgettable conversation and live performances.

Now, imagine getting the opportunity to share a stage with him.

Camp Electric has announced its 4th Annual Rock the Camp contest, powered by Fender, and the grand prize is a chance to open for KB at a live show in Nashville during summer 2027! The winner will also take home a Fender 75th Anniversary electric guitar.

The contest invites aspiring young musicians to submit a performance video, rally their fans and compete for a shot at performing alongside one of Christian music’s most dynamic artists.

Submissions are open through November 6, 2026, with public voting taking place November 2–15. Fans can vote once per day using their email addresses, helping determine which artists advance to the finalist round.

And the competition has some serious star power behind it.

The judging panel features some familiar CCM Magazine faces, including Cover artists Colton Dixon and Tommee Profitt.

Five finalists will advance for consideration by the panel, which will ultimately select one grand prize winner.

Rock the Camp has a history of helping launch careers. Previous winners include Joseph O’Brien, who went on to sign with Gotee Records.

The competition is an extension of Camp Electric’s mission to equip the next generation of Christian musicians. The annual camp returns to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, June 27–July 1, 2027, welcoming students ages 13–19 for hands-on instruction, mentorship, concerts and worship.

But for one aspiring artist, the biggest moment might come when they walk onto a Nashville stage and introduce themselves to an audience waiting to see KB.
