Wells’ debut solo single, “Hills and Valleys,” lifted from the album of the same name, was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America®) in 2018 and has received over 100 million digital streams and its accompanying acoustic style music video has been viewed over 30 million times. Wells’ GRAMMY®-nominated and critically acclaimed solo debut album, Hills and Valleys, debuted top five on the Billboard Top Christian Charts after its 2017 release. “Hills and Valleys” earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Album and Best Contemporary Christian Song.

In October 2018, Wells dominated the 2018 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, winning four: New Artist of the Year, Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year – thus, making him the most awarded artist at the 49th Dove Awards.

“Billboard Music Awards” nominees and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of artists, songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of success in music. The 2019 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Fans can currently catch Tauren Wells on tour via Chris Tomlin’s Holy Roar Tour. He is also preparing for his first headline tour which is set for 26 cities this coming Fall.
