Redding, CA (September 15, 2022)
American Idol finalist and multi-genre singer/songwriter Rachel Hale released her highly anticipated single “A Man.”

In “A Man,” Rachel Hale harkens back to her country roots with a tongue-in-cheek prayer. In this upbeat and gospel-infused single, Rachel Hale begs mankind to get it together.

Rachel co-wrote “A Man” with songwriters CJ Solar and Andrew Scott Wills. The track was produced by GRAMMY-nominated Sal Oliveri and mixed by GRAMMY winner Andrew Ramsey.

“When CJ, Andrew and I sat down to write, we were just catching up, and I was complaining about how hard it’s been to find a true southern man these days. Where I grew up in southwest Arkansas, men drive trucks, hunt and wear cowboy boots,” said Rachel. “At the time, I was new to Nashville, and I was wondering where I could find my type of man. I dramatically cried out, ‘Can I get A MAN?!’ It sounded comically familiar to the phrase you hear in church, ‘Can I get an amen?’ The rest is history. We took the pun, and ‘A Man’ was written in just a couple of hours. My hope is that this song becomes an anthem for women who feel like me. I also hope this song gives men the courage they need to be their best selves.”

LYRICS:

I’m getting tired of little boys wasting my time
Playin’ games, toying round with my mind
Come Lord, can you send help now please
I need a six foot two, eyes of blue kind of angel
To get me off my knees

A man, a man
Can I get a man, a man
Child rise up, I’ve had enough
Ready for the real stuff
Can I get a man
A man
Oh, can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man

I got swing set, white picket fence dreams
I need someone who can handle a hammer and build it for me
It’d be amazing, if you’d grace me right about now
Oh halleluiah how sweet the sound

Can I get a man, a man
Can I get a man, a man
Child rise up, I’ve had enough
Ready for the real stuff
Can I get a man
A man
Oh, can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man

Cause it’s Adam and Eve
Just you and me
It ain’t a new thing
Lookin’ for the true thing
Can I trust my heart in your hands
So hey men, are you listening

Can I get a man, a man
Can I get a man, a man
Child rise up, I’ve had enough
Ready for the real stuff
Can I get a man
A man
Oh, can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man
Can I get a, can I get a man
