NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Matthew West is kicking off the year with a taste of what’s to come with the release of uplifting new track “You Changed My Name,” out today. He also shared the accompanying video, which was directed by Sean Hagwell and serves as a display of fellow worshipers coming together joyfully as chosen children of God. The worshippers featured in the visual are fans who West surprised at his Come Home For Christmas event in December with the chance to be a part of this special video. West’s upcoming double album, MY STORY YOUR GLORY, is set for release on February 17 and is available for pre-order now HERE. The first part of the album, MY STORY, embodies the countless stories fans have shared with the songwriter over the years as well as personal experiences and the second part, YOUR GLORY, marks West’s first official worship album.

“As we get closer to the release of this double album, I’m so excited to share a song from the Your Glory worship album,” shares West. “‘You Changed My Name’ is the song declaring the powerful truth in knowing our true identity in Christ. I can’t wait to lead this in worship and I hope its message will remind us all that we are not only saved by grace, we are changed by grace.”

The five-time Grammy® nominated artist is poised and ready for an impressive 2023 after a monumental 2022 – his prior single “Me On Your Mind” spent 6 weeks atop the Mediabase Christian Airplay chart and graced the top the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart for 5 weeks. The track was his fifth consecutive chart-topper and marked West’s 25th number one song combined as an artist and songwriter – now up to 27. He was named NSAI’s Songwriter-Artist of the Year following the footsteps of artists including Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and Taylor Swift to name a few. West is notably the first predominantly Christian artist to win the award in over 20 years. He released his sixth book “The God Who Stays,” an engaging and thoughtful exploration, balanced with West’s trademark wit and humor, that helps us reconnect to the Biblical truth that God is with us. In his most personal book to date, West was inspired by the dramatic events of 2020 to go on a spiritual journey of rediscovery and revival inspired by the words of his hit song “The God Who Stays.” The proven storyteller finished out the year with a partnership with Great American Family to highlight “Come Home For Christmas” on their channel all holiday season and a high profile appearance of the carol on The Kelly Clarkson Show – watch here.

Additionally, fans can hear him on “The Matthew West Podcast” which has surpassed an impressive 2.5 million downloads and drops new episodes weekly under the “That Sounds Fun” network.
