Fifteen months since his last release, St. Jezzer returns with his trademark fresh take on Christian music, complete with funky grooves and challenging lyrics in his finest release to date.
Up and coming jazz-funk Christian artist St. Jezzer has released his new EP, “Who’s The Daddy?”. Continuing his signature style of combining spoken verse with jazz-funk inspired grooves, the four-track EP explores the themes of faith, provision, hardship, and the role of community in an increasingly broken world.

This is St. Jezzer’s fifth release since his debut EP, “Good Grief!” released in January 2022. Throughout 2022, St. Jezzer released a second EP and two singles.

“The ideas for ‘Who’s The Daddy?’ have been bubbling around for well over a year”, says St. Jezzer. “I’ve drawn inspiration from a range of observed and first hand experiences and hardships over the last few years, and it’s incredibly satisfying to finally be able to share these four tracks with the world.”

St. Jezzer went on to describe his experience visiting a small church service in the UK, where the senior pastor started the service by calling out, “Who’s King?”. The congregation enthusiastically responded, “Jesus is King!”. Inspired by this call and response, St. Jezzer went straight back to his studio and recorded what has now become the chorus to the third track on the EP, “Who’s King? Jesus Is King!”.

“I really want to acknowledge that, for many people, being a Christian is not easy, for a whole range of difficult reasons. But that doesn’t make Jesus any less of a King”, commented St. Jezzer. “It’s all about Who your Daddy is. I would hope that for all Christians, that would be our Heavenly Daddy, and no one else”.
