Nashville, TN (June 78, 2019)
Legendary songstress Gloria Gaynor has released her highly anticipated gospel album Testimony (Gaither Music Group). With early praise from the likes of NPR, Rolling Stone, People Magazine and more, the LP features a combination of carefully-chosen classic hymns, self-penned songs, and a stirring cover of Bob Dylan’s “Man of Peace.” Gaynor’s timeless vocals are front and center on the record, showcasing a soulful authenticity that could only come from someone who has experienced the challenges and trials of life.

Be sure to tune in to CBS Sunday Morning this Sunday, June 9th and TODAY on Monday June 10th for gripping interviews with Gloria on the album and her iconic career.

Gaynor recorded for the first time in Nashville with Grammy-winning producers Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Mandisa, Blake Shelton) and Reid Shippen (Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney). She brought together a powerhouse collaborative that includes special guests Yolanda Adams, Jason Crabb, Mike Farris, and Bart Millard (MercyMe), as well as powerful backup vocals from Latrese Bush, Melinda Doolittle, and Jason Eskridge. Testimony was recorded in the former RCA Studio A in Nashville’s Music Row—the historic setting where Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, and countless other country legends have laid hits down.

The release of Testimony comes as Gaynor’s most iconic hit, “I Will Survive,” turns 40 this year. After decades spent as an international music icon, Testimony celebrates her faith, which has been an integral part of her journey both personally and professionally.
