Christian music singer/songwriter, artist and inspirational speaker Briana Domenica is excited to release her new music video, “Defender.”

The video was filmed and produced by Tyler Adams/Sora Entertainment in various locations throughout middle Tennessee. “It was great having the opportunity to work with Tyler again on this video!” Domenica continued, “The video is a beautiful depiction of God’s truth, that no matter the struggle—whether depression, mental illness, anxiety, fear, anger, addiction, or whatever burdens we may be carrying—we are not alone and He IS our DEFENDER. I could not think of a better time to be reminded of this than on Easter Weekend!”
Tyler Adams added, “It seems like we’re in a constant battle, sometimes within ourselves, and this song is a powerful reminder that God is our ultimate defender. Briana puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and it was an honor to work with her to bring visuals to these powerful lyrics.”
The single, which was released at the end of February, was co-written with Rachel Barrentine and Gene Ezell and was produced by GRAMMY Award-winning musician Nate Cornell (For King + Country). The upbeat and highly encouraging song was crafted to uplift and strengthen anyone who has ever walked in the darkness of despair. It delivers an extremely poignant message of promise and hope. With its lively and “feel-good” vibe, “Defender” reminds listeners that, although we may face struggles that we cannot seem to overcome, we are never alone, and that no challenge is too significant for God. We can trust in Him to see us through tough times.
“…Yes to the blood
That conquered my shame,
Yes to the Son
That rose from the grave,
You’ve already overcome,
I will rest, the battle is won,
Now I stand in victory….
You are my defender, I know it,
You are watching over, watching over this,
You are my stronghold, I’m in Your grip,
You are my anchor, You won’t let me drift,
You are my defender, defender…”
Music is one of Domenica’s greatest passions, but she is equally passionate about suicide prevention and awareness after losing several loved ones to suicide, including her oldest brother. She has also personally struggled with suicidal thoughts. In an attempt to turn family heartache and tragedy into something good, she started a 501c3 non-profit, Angel in the Sky, in May of 2016. “My hope is that, through our outreach program, The Warrior In Me, we can raise awareness and help save lives through prevention, education, and the power of music,” Domenica commented.
Domenica is preparing to take The Warrior In Me program on the road, both live and virtually. Recently, she completed filming a video series on suicide prevention and awareness which she created based on real-life experiences and raw emotion. She will be releasing it in the coming weeks via her YouTube channel as a means to help others who share the same struggles. Briana Domenica has a positive and encouraging message to share with all ages and wants to utilize the power of her music and her story to make a difference in the lives of others.
