The 6th annual SonRise Music Festival was held at the Virginia Beach oceanfront September 13 – 15, 2019, featuring prominent national artists and a variety of local talent. Christian pop singer Colton Dixon, who finished 7th on American Idol season 11, headlined the first night. Friday also featured Christian rock band, Disciple, who performed new songs from Love Letter Kill Shot on what was their album release day. Legin, who is an inspirational hip-hop and spoken word artist, connected with the audience through both his music and teaching.

With numerous top 10 radio singles, YouTube sensation Anthem Lights headlined Saturday night bringing a variety of original songs, covers and medleys spanning many music genres. Sanctus Real featured tunes from their new album “Unstoppable God,” performed hit song “Lead Me,” and much more. A vital part of Passion Music, Sean Curran inspired all with beautiful songs from his new solo EP, “Bigger Than I Thought.” In addition, one of the crowd favorites, Christian hip-hop artist Jermaine LeMor (FKA Sinai), performed “And 1” and “On My Way.”
