I’m not a big fan of country music…in part because I was force-fed HeeHaw every Sunday evening growing up. But every now and then I hear a country/folk/bluegrass/grassroots kind of song that strikes a note with me. I’m not even sure if it’s a song that other people will like, but something about the tenderness and simplicity of this song and the truth in it’s lyrics caught my attention.

Tonja Rose‘s song “I’m Not Who I Used To Be” from her Me, Jesus & The Highway album is the Best Thing I Heard Today! You should check it out.

“I’m excited to share this Official Music Video with you. This song is inspired by the events in our lives that changes the direction of who we are, where we’ve been, and where we are going. Whether it is physical or emotional, we are guided by our God above to use our story to impact those who need His grace and love.” —Tonja Rose
