Tim Enochs: ‘The Street Sweeper’ book review

The Street Sweeper, written in first person, opens to find the lead “character” in a position very familiar to all of us: unable to finish a task and behind on a deadline. A day late and a dollar short, a close friend sends the distraught man on what would be an unforgettable spiritual journey beginning in a quaint mountain resort town called “Inspiration, Tennessee” (don’t Google Map-it, we tried!). What was perceived as an opportunity to just “get away” for a few days is where this story turns and we suddenly find our subject enthralled by a man who, of all things, voluntarily sweeps the city streets of Inspiration. What ensues is a memorable and miraculous ride as the street sweeper leads us along the process of learning the Seven Revelations of Irrefutable Success—expanded, yet simple applied Biblical principles based on transformation, prayer, trust, giving, and truth. This can’t-put-down and very quick read is a great inspirational piece for anyone on school campuses to CEO’s of large corporations.
