Multi-award-winning songwriter and producer Jonathan Smith extends his partnership with Essential Music Publishing and signs a new long-term deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville. Essential Music Publishing will continue to serve as Smith’s exclusive publisher within Worship and Contemporary Christian Music and Sony Music Publishing will focus on Smith’s songwriting projects across the country music genre.

Nine-time GRAMMY Award nominee and Curb | Word Entertainment artist Natalie Grant has released a reimagined duet of “Step By Step” with Dolly Parton from her forthcoming album, Seasons. The iconic song, made popular by Whitney Houston, appeared on the soundtrack for The Preacher’s Wife and was dubbed one of Houston’s best songs.

Last month, Chris Llewellyn, the Irish singer/songwriter and founding member of the platinum-selling worship band Rend Collective, announced the release of his upcoming solo project, Honest (Sept. 1, Capitol CMG), and dropped its first single, the title track.
