Kirk Franklin Shares His Surprise Upon Seeing His Song in the Opening Moments of Netflix Documentary

“A God Like You,” from Kirk Franklin (Fo Yo Soul/RCA), is featured in the new Becoming documentary, just released globally on Netflix. The strains of Franklin’s energetic track is featured in the documentary’s opening moments, which follows the former First Lady Michelle Obama on her book tour. “A God Like You” is from Franklin’s GRAMMY®-winning hit album Hello Fear, released in 2011 on Verity Records. The song’s appearance in the film was a complete surprise experience for Franklin himself, whose shocked reaction was captured on video in a sweet family moment with his wife Tammy and posted by their daughter Kennedy, as he watched the documentary for the first time.
