The 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards were handed out tonight in the Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The awards will be televised on TBN Sunday, Oct 21. The big winner was first-time nominee, newcomer Tauren Wells, who took home four awards, including Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year and New Artist of The Year.

Singer-songwriter Tori Kelly, who recently released her new album, Hiding Place, has achieved multiple successes within the music industry, but as she describes in a short film released today from I Am Second, a global storytelling organization, it was the difficult journey to fame that shaped her into the GRAMMY-nominated musician she is today.

Tori Kelly grew up on gospel music. And what began as a one-song collaboration with mega-gospel legend, Kirk Franklin, turned into an entire record of spiritually-minded music. She sat down with CCM Magazine's Andrew Greer in Nashville, Tennessee to talk about surrendering her musical heart.
