From one of the most active worship collectives in recent memory (offering a new album every year since 2012), Vertical Worship releases its 2017 batch of songs with their latest, which is a self-titled project (buy). Falling in line with what we’ve come to expect from Vertical Worship, and drawing off of recent tour experiences such as sharing the stage on OUTCRY with the likes of Lauren Daigle, Hillsong UNITED, and Louie Giglio, the band releases another solid effort. “What’s so important to us in the writing of these songs is that we’re pulling from the Word of God,” shares member Andi Rozier. Featuring tracks soon to be entrenched as modern worship classics like “Do What You Want To” and “Open Up The Heavens,” there’s plenty playlist-worthy options here, but also serves as a great all-inclusive set for personal worship in any setting.
