The Katinas: ‘Sunday Set’ album review

With a fresh, soulful take on modern church staples, The Katinas do a superb job of breathing new life into contemporary favorites. Their tight, layered harmonies, along with innovative musical arrangements, lend themselves to songs like, “Oceans”, as well as, “Lead Me to the Cross”. Although the arrangement is a bit dubious and disjointed on “Our God”, it is the only misstep, and the gospel stylings will set this album apart as much more than just a cover album.
