Planetshakers – “Heaven on Earth Part Two” Album Review 3.0 Overall Score Label:Independent For Fans Of:Bruno Mars, Desperation Band We Like:“I Want Jesus” Planetshakers – “Heaven on Earth Part Two” Album Review Matt Conner July 23, 2018 Planetshakers Heaven on Earth Part Two (Independent) The second Heaven on Earth installment from the worship collective Planetshakers was recorded live in Melbourne at Hisense Arena—home of the famed Australian Open tennis tournament. With only four songs here, there’s a limited punch packed quantity-wise, but “I Want Jesus” is the sort of cornerstone track that overshadows anything lacking here. The simplistic ballad is easy to learn and relies on a personal Psalmic quality to sing a straightforward prayer. That same heart’s cry can be found on “Draw Close Again” which closes the EP. The opening duo of “Move Out of My Way” and “Electric Atmosphere” are smart Bruno Mars-ish pop numbers, but they feel at odds with the more tender songs here. Still all these songs are certainly enjoyable with a depth on the second half that’s worth checking out. –Matt Conner Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
