Taking a slight, one degree shift from electric-lady cohorts like 1GN and V.Rose, LoveCollide release Resonate, which showcases the sisters DeLeary’s wide range of musicianship. Make no mistake, this is still girl-pop at its finest—the opening and title track “Resonate” makes a strong case for this, although the driving chorus hints of the gal’s love for rock ‘n roll and of things to come throughout the album. Succeeding tracks “Fox” smartly incorporates sax and brass, while “Storms” and “Atmosphere” give the discerning listener a real taste of their depth as complete musical packages. All together, Resonate rings true as an album representing a very talented group on the rise.
