Jason Nelson ‘The Answer’ Album Review

Jason Nelson
The Answer
(RCA Inspiration)

Baltimore’s own Jason Nelson has enjoyed a lasting career in the world of urban gospel and his latest release, The Answer, will only serve to further that longevity. Packed with rich, soulful runs and warm, earnest vocals, the album almost presents like an extended worship session, complete with words of encouragement and edification. Nelson’s passion rings loud and clear on the opening track, a cover of the Andrae Crouch classic “Jesus Is The Answer” and extends into album highlight “Never Go A Day.” Songs like “Forever” and “Stripes” deliver smooth R&B-flavored flows while “Faith For That” and the title track showcase some strong energy, daring you to try to keep still. And through it all, whether you know the question or not, you’ll be more than happy to have found The Answer.
