Gotee Records: Twenty Years Brand New  (Gotee Records)
by Various Artists

FOR FANS OF: Relient K, House Of Heroes, Capital Kings
Rating: 4 Stars

Rather than simply gathering the most obvious highlights from its 20-year history, Gotee Records invited its artists to cover their favorite songs by fellow label mates. That means Relient K respectfully recalls Johnny Q. Public’s underappreciated “Body Be,” Jamie Grace puts a soulful acoustic spin on Relient’s punk rocker “Getting Into You” and John Reuben rap/rocks his way through Family Force 5’s ultra-fun “Love Addict,” to name but a few standouts.

WE LIKE: Capital Kings – featuring John Reuben’s “Ooh, Ahh” (originally performed by GRITS featuring tobyMac)
