Gaither Vocal Band – ‘Christmas Collection’ album review

Nov15-GVBrev-750x400The members may have changed, but if there’s any thread that’s tied every era of The Gaither Vocal Band together, it’s a diverse blend of dynamic voices sung in perfect harmony. This collection of six new tunes and six holiday standards boasts names as world renown as Bill Gaither, David Phelps, Michael English, Mark Lowry and Guy Penrod (amongst many other top notch talents), though make no mistake, individual fame takes a distant backseat to Christ’s coming birth. Longtime fans of the southern gospel group or more casual listeners looking for a pitch perfect celebration of the season are all apt to benefit from this impeccably produced meeting of multiple generations.
