Our eldest sister Eua Katina White went to heaven earlier today. After battling cancer for just a few months now, she went calmly into the arms of Jesus immediately after our Dad prayed for rest and peace for her body and soul. Please pray for her faithful husband, High Chief Taito (Sam White) and her two sons, nephews Jordan and Michael.

When we first heard of her illness this past February, we hoped that she would seek treatment and fight this ugly disease. But her immediate response to us was, “I’m ready to go. I’m strong, and I’m ready to go”.

Being the oldest of 12 siblings has its privileges and responsibilities. Eua, is the loving sister that focused more on her responsibilities and sacrificed so readily, her privileges. She was always in the background. Even the “green room” would’ve been uncomfortable for her. She’s the face that the crowd never saw or even met. But to the “performers” which happened to be us, her younger brothers and sisters, she is the message of the songs and sermons that we sing and preach. She showed us that you don’t have to have a mic or play an instrument to make an impact. You don’t even need a stage. The stage is wherever you are and the message is your life.

So we celebrate you, EUA! We’ll continue to worship Jesus, sing songs, preach sermons, love our families and look out for one another just like you taught us to. It’s ironic, how you were always in the background, never in the limelight. But today, you’re “Front and Center”! The audience is Jesus. And we’re certain that He’s pleased with the song and message of your life. Well done Sister! You’re strong. You’ve been ready. Now, you’re HOME!
