Nashville, TN (November 11, 2022)
Wrapping up a whirlwind year, The Imaginaries has released a new version of “This Christmas.” Turning the Donny Hathaway classic into a duet, the husband-and-wife duo composed of Maggie McClure and Shane Henry trade verses throughout the infectious song and flawlessly harmonize on the chorus.

Hang all the mistletoe and get to know The Imaginaries better this Christmas with their Holiday Livestream Concert Series. Having amassed a loyal social media following with their Quarantunes Series, the duo will host four holiday-themed Facebook livestreams each Thursday at 7 p.m. CT from Dec. 1 through Christmas.

Produced by McClure, Henry and Stephen Leiweke, “This Christmas” was recorded by The Imaginaries at Yackland Studio during a recent trip to Nashville for AMERICANAFEST. The stop in Music City also included a performance at The Basement as part of The Imaginaries’ fall tour. They performed tracks from their 2022 film A Cowgirl’s Song, favorites off their debut album and new releases like their latest single “Things Are Gonna Be Alright.”

The Imaginaries released “Things Are Gonna Be Alright,” written by Henry and Jeff Silbar, on Sept. 9. The track followed the recent Netflix premiere of A Cowgirl’s Song, originally released in theaters and on VOD from Samuel Goldwyn Films on April 22. McClure and Henry starred in the coming-of-age drama, made their debut as film producers and wrote and produced the original motion picture soundtrack.
