“God had other plans for us.”

That’s how new lead vocalist Adam Agee describes the unexpected journey that led to Worldwide Revival (Deluxe), which officially dropped today, May 30.

Originally planned as a two-part rollout, Worldwide Revival evolved into something bigger and more personal. “As we have navigated this new season, we ultimately felt called to close out this chapter of music with a deluxe version that includes both the original songs from Part One but also some new songs that give listeners a glimpse into the future of Newsboys,” says Agee.

That future starts with “Fortress,” a scripture-fueled anthem inspired by Psalm 91. Anchored by the line “I will abide in the shadow of the Almighty,” the track captures the spiritual urgency running through the band’s latest lineup: Agee, Jeff Frankenstein, Duncan Phillips, and Jody Davis.

The Newsboys team now heads into summer with momentum—and clarity. “We’re excited to move into what’s next for our band, with just the four of us,” Phillips says. “We’ve got the live show dialed in, but it’s time to finish up Worldwide Revival, and so completing the project with this deluxe version feels like a nice way to close that chapter.”

The deluxe album includes four new tracks—two originals (“Fortress” and “New Name”) and two stirring covers of worship favorites (“Death Was Arrested” and “God of Promises”). Fans will also recognize reimagined versions of “Christ and Christ Crucified” and the radio-climbing “How Many Times (oh how You love me).”

For longtime fans, this moment is a signal that the band—one of the most decorated in Christian music history, with 10 million units sold, 33 No. 1 radio hits, and countless accolades—is kicking off a new era with plenty of empty pages still to be filled.

The Worldwide Revival Nights tour continues on June 22 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and runs through August, with international stops in Finland, the U.K., and Norway.
