Nashville, TN (May 18, 2020)
With all her recent success, it’s important to remember that Lauren Daigle actually got her national start on American Idol.  Lauren was a non-televised contestant of American Idol for Season 9 and Season 11, after she was encouraged by her family to compete in the singing competition. On both occasions, she made it to the Final Judgment and Las Vegas rounds respectively before getting cut.  Since then, Lauren has been on American Idol, as a mentor to aspiring contestants, back in season 17.

But this time, Lauren revisits American Idol as a coveted headlining performer. The Grammy and Dove Award winner appeared on the finale of the 18th season of American Idol, Sunday May 17th.

Lauren performed her song “You Say,” with contestant Just Sam, who won the competition.
