“‘Come As You Are’ is God’s response to us. It is what I hope that God would say to his kids. It’s definitely also a thought of me as a father, thinking about what I would say to my daughters. It doesn’t matter where you are, doesn’t matter where you’ve been. Come to me, there’s no need to wait. There’s no need to hide anything. I am fully capable and able to handle all of your stuff.” —David Leonard

Born out of personal experiences and set against a backdrop of alternative pop, The Wait tells Leonard’s story of wrestling through heartache, depression, confusion, and redemption with his family and God. Music videos for each track will also combine and make a short film that tells one overarching narrative. Those who preorder the album will receive six instant grat tracks “Come As You Are,” “Know Your Heart,” “Signs Of Life,” “Wanderer,” “By My Side,” and “Threads.”

The Wait was produced by David Leonard, Brad King, and Seth Talley for The Creak Music, a production studio and independent label co-owned by the trio based in Franklin, TN.
