Out & About – April 1, 2015

and 2: Artists, celebrities and fans from literally all walks of life packed the West Angeles Church of God In Christ to pay their respects to legendary gospel great Andraé Crouch. Famed duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, along with Sweet Comfort Band member/ solo veteran Bryan Duncan are shown arriving at the concert and Celebration of Life service, which drew more than 600,000 viewers during a stream on BET.com and the church’s website.

Shadowlands Music recording artist Jean Watson (right) took time out from recording her upcoming CD to attend the National Religious Broadcasters conference (NRB) in Nashville. While there, Watson met Saturday Night Live alumnus, actress and comedian Victoria Jackson (left), who was also attending the conference.

R&B, soul and sometimes-gospel singer KEM may have visited Chicago’s United Center to promote his latest Kemistry/Motown project, Promise To Love; but he also shared his testimony, suggesting there would be no record deal, sold-out shows or deliverance from past problems (including drug addiction and homelessness) without his reliance on the Lord.

Steven Curtis Chapman, host of “Sam’s Place” at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, takes a break with the guest artists from February’s show. Pictured from left to right: Shelley Breen (Point of Grace), Ellie Holcomb, Chapman, Kristian Bush, Denise Jones (Point of Grace), Josh Turner, Leigh Cappillino (Point of Grace), Aaron Watson.

Chapman also grabbed a moment backstage with Ellie Holcomb after performing their duet of his popular “Be Still and Know.” Joining them backstage was Ellie’s husband, Drew, lead singer of the band Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors.
