I first heard of Whys of the Wise on a previous New Music Friday Christian playlist and I really liked the song “Okay” that week…but there was no bio or obvious CCM connection. Then I heard “Detonate” on last weeks list and started digging to find out more about this duo. A long-time CCM friend of mine found an article online and that sealed it.

Whys of the Wise consists of John Gleason (drums/guitar) and Haidyn Long (guitar/vocals). While their songs are “mostly faith-based,” they don’t want their music to be pigeonholed into a CCM only audience.
