In a recent news story, recreational retailer REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.), announced that they will officially close their doors during the upcoming annual “Black Friday” shopping frenzy. I love the notion of consciously making a decision to go outside the boundaries, beyond our walls—REI is taking it, well, literally—and as Christians, I think we should, too.

Jesus says in John 13, Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. May the Church in the days to come be a unified church that loves like Jesus.
