Newsboys Celebrate A Year of Milestones and New Music CCM News December 10, 2024 Nashville, Tenn. (December 10, 2024) Acclaimed Christian band Newsboys is wrapping up 2024 with a series of groundbreaking achievements, including new music, record-breaking streaming success, and a full schedule of performances across the country. After the release of Worldwide Revival (Part One) this summer, the band’s latest album has surpassed previous streaming records, while their ongoing Worldwide Revival Nights Tour continues to captivate audiences in cities nationwide. In addition to topping music charts, the Newsboys’ 2024 highlights also include major milestones on the road and in the studio, setting the stage for even bigger things to come in 2025. With more new music on the horizon and additional tour dates across the United States and Canada locked in, Newsboys are poised for continued success in the year ahead. The highly anticipated Worldwide Revival (Part One), which was released on July 19, 2024, has already surpassed 19 million streams since the debut of its first single, “Heaven on Earth,” on March 15, 2024. The album immediately impacted, quickly outpacing previous releases and setting new benchmarks for the band. “Heaven On Earth” made waves on the Billboard charts, breaking into the Top 40 on both the Adult Contemporary and Airplay Charts. The official music video for “Heaven on Earth” performed 288% stronger than prior videos, racking up over 1.7 million views and counting. “How Many Times”, the album focus track on street-date, quickly surpassed Newsboys’ previous focus singles by nearly 172% within the same release timeframe. In addition, Meta extended their support for “How Many Times” by endorsing fan engagement posts from the group’s social pages, generating over 4 million views on the platform. Short-form content and high-energy music videos propelled the project in a new way for Newsboys during this release cycle, as proven by more than 420,000 user-creations featuring the album’s audio, all of which have accumulated over 7.4 million views across social platforms. To amplify the album’s release further, Newsboys joined forces with long-time radio partners WAYFM, KSBJ and WGTS to celebrate album release week in-person. Culminating in three album release celebrations during street-week, the band had the opportunity to connect with fans directly to celebrate Worldwide Revival (Part One) in Nashville, Dallas, and Washington DC. The band also appeared on several different podcasts this year including Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley, The Sean McDowell Show, and That Sounds Fun With Annie F. Downs. Drawing inspiration from Newsboys and their revolutionary music once again, the fifth installment of the critically acclaimed film franchise, “God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust,” was released on September 12, 2024. The film features a cameo from Newsboys as well as a performance of their song, “In God We Trust.” The group participated in the filming process in January of 2024, and travelled to Dallas for the film’s premiere in partnership with CPAC in September of 2024. The group has no plans to slow anything down in 2025! Newsboys’ Worldwide Revival Nights tour has been a standout success in 2024, captivating audiences across America with their high-energy performances and powerful music. The band will continue the tour in 2025, bringing the unforgettable experience to additional locations in the United States before embarking on a long-awaited Canadian leg of the tour. “How Many Times” will impact radio in January, all while Newsboys prepare for the release of Christ and Christ Crucified: Worldwide Edition (EP) and Worldwide Revival (Part One) Deluxe, promising their dedicated fans even more to look forward to this upcoming year.
