Holly Starr: ‘Everything I Need’ album review

Just 24 but already four projects into a recording career that’s netted a pair of Top 25 singles (even as an indie artist), Holly Starr is clearly ahead of the curve throughout this latest melodic pop/contemporary Christian collection. Across seven tracks, the singer-songwriter shuffles between the personal and the praiseworthy with a newfound assurance, while production from Scott and Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe) helps further frame her gorgeous vocal range, perhaps best displayed on ballads like “My Father’s Love” and “God Is.”
