Considering MercyMe amassed considerable secular success, it’s only fitting for its mainstream label to issue this retrospective with obvious choices like, “I Can Only Imagine,” and more collector-oriented treasures like the acoustic rendition of “Finally Home.” While it’s not as thorough as 2009’s Christian industry CD/ DVD set 10, there’s still plenty to enjoy, especially when it comes to the band’s unabashedly spiritual songwriting over a blend of hooky pop melodies and lushly orchestrated ballads.
